December 2020 Update

As many might have guessed, with the New Year comes new possibilities. We are planning to have a 2021 Co-ed Outdoor Season. There are a lot of details that need to be worked out before we get there, with the primary detail being the Portland Metro Area having significant decreases in the number of new COVID cases on a trending or continued basis. Once that happens, in conjunction with the continued inoculation of the COVID vaccines, we will look to make the Season happen, if at all possible.

That being said, we are going to delay accepting Registrations for the time being. As soon as we have a better feel for what it is going to take to make the season happen, we will get Registration opened up and proceed with ironing out all the details, working with Team Managers, Referees, and League staff to make the Games & Season successful, and more importantly, Safe.

Keep an eye on this site for additional updates!

Thanks, stay safe, and hope to see you out on the fields, once we can safely get back out there!

Just a quick update

We have received a number of inquiries about a Fall season, since our usual Spring/Summer Season didn’t work out. At this time, for primarily the same reasons, we are not planning on attempting a Fall Season at this time. Likewise, we have determined that a Summer/Early Fall Tournament is not likely as well. We will keep looking into possibilities, as the year progresses, and will let folks know if anything changes. Stay healthy, stay safe, and be of good cheer.

Portland Co-ed Soccer 2020 Season-Cancelled

After consulting with a number of folks & leagues, going over the guidelines put forth by the Governors of Oregon & Washington (as applicable), and taking all the health implications into consideration, Portland Co-ed Soccer has decided to Cancel the 2020 Outdoor Co-ed Season. We do not do this lightly, but feel that it is the best option at this time.
As you might have guessed, there are no fields at this time that are open for league use, and there is no specific timeline as to when any of them might be available. Couple that with the information that is available regarding COVID-19, both in the US and abroad, specifically recovery rates, possible re-infection data going out, and the vast unknown that applies to all of this, makes trying to pin down any sort of timeline very difficult. Our main concern is the health and well being of all the members of the Portland Co-ed Soccer league, and doing what we believe is necessary to support that as best we can. Making sure everyone is able to go out and participate in the games safely is worth the wait.
We are looking into the possibility of maybe having a Co-ed Tournament during the Summer, to at least get some soccer played, but it will be dependent upon where we are in restrictions, what fields are available, how many are interested in it, and what we would need to do to organize it. As we get more information, we will let you know if it is feasible.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and we hope to see you out on the fields when we can all get out there to play.

Update RE: Corvid-19

As with just about everything else at the moment, Portland Co-ed Soccer is in a holding pattern. We are putting things together with the intent that we will have a 2020 Season, but we will also adhere to the State requirements regarding gatherings/events as we hear of them. We will continue to monitor events, mandates, and recommended Best Practices, following the required guidelines to keep our staff, our teams, and our players safe and healthy.

At the moment, most of the agencies we use to get fields are not accepting Field Use Permit applications. This makes it challenging to create schedules, but we respect their decisions, as they too are trying to navigate this situation as best they can. As soon as we know we can submit applications, we will try to secure the fields we need for the season.

As we work to make the season happen, if possible, we cannot stress enough that you practice all the safety procedures recommended, keep yourself and loved ones healthy and safe, be calm, responsible, and caring, and, hopefully, we will see you out on the fields soon.

Updating information about Manager’s Meeting

Our 2020 Season Manager’s Meeting has been moved from March 1st, as was originally indicated on the 2020 Team Registration Form, to March 8th, at 7:00pm. This should minimize the conflicts with the Portland Timbers home games. Check the updated Registration form for details on location of the meeting.

2020 Team Registration

The Registration form for the 2020 Season can be found on the Forms & Documents page (Click Here). We are still working on finding the right Form & fit for Online Registering that includes the ability to submit payment online, but have not found the one we are satisfied with yet. As soon as we have that in place, we will get it up and running.

The League Standings are up, based on the best available information received from Manager reports & Referee reports.
